Short and sweet

Two quick things-
1. I went to my very first and very last town hall meeting...regarding a waterski course. (we win)
2. After much encouraging I started reading 50 Shades of Grey...I'm actually blushing thinking of it and can't decide if it's real.
Question for anyone reading it or has read it: who do you picture playing Christian Grey in the movie version...I'll tell you my pick tomorrow...

getting closer...

to moving into the new house!  I feel like this whole process has taken forever...but it's really only been 3 months.  I guess just doing all the lame-o projects like sanding and taping and getting rid of cabinets made it seem a lot longer.

I'm ready to see the big changes...kitchen, bathrooms...and I'm dying to get my furniture in there and start decorating!  Here's a sneak peek at some pictures I'm using as inspiration.  Don't tell...I'm trying to keep parts of it secret :)

We have a skylight in our master bathroom but I'm picturing a 'sunken in' tub rather than a free standing one

this looks just like our staircase and I can't wait to do a gallery wall with oversized matting and frames!

we have TONS of shutters like this that we took down...I'm totally going to repurpose them for this! Just need to decide what color...

let's just say it's been a LONG day...tears were shed, feelings were hurt and lessons were learned....here are words of advice that I'm taking to heart today:

Lessons learned today:

1. Don't ever question or let someone question your intelligence.

2. Have the confidence to stick to what you feel and believe.

3. Be yourself, don't let anyone or anything get you down, believe in yourself and good things will happen.

I think I may have an addiction...

to Lululemon.  I cannot even put into words how much I love all of their stuff...it literally makes me smile when I put it on.  Lucky for me we got to host a Lulu (you know, because I'm on a first-name basis with them) trunk show here at work!  It was one of the best days of my life...not only did I get to shop (with a discount...score) but I got to do one of my favorite things...help other people shop!

People kept coming up and asking my opinion on things and I got to help them pick things out and try stuff on that they ended up loving!  I may have sold more clothes than the lulu girls who were there.  In fact, I got a thank you email (squeal!) from the manager of the store that came down.  She even said she was about to offer me a job but she didn't think I'd want to commute to Burlington...I almost started crying...it was a total pick-me-up (much needed).

Anywhoo...I just found out that lulu is now making swimsuits...can't even wait to get my hands on one:

and/or one of their new beach bags...

So just in case any of you are feeling generous my birthday is coming up....just sayin'
