Me vs. Everyone Else

So as soon as I mentioned to a few people that I was thinking of trading my car in for a prius I got a ton of reactions...almost all negative. "Really?!" "WTF" "You'll look like a band geek". They all clearly don't share the same vision as me...I'm picturing myself in a cute black prius with a sunroof, an iPod hookup, heated seats for winter...and wearing my go-to cute outfits...something just like below:

DC Girls Trip!

So excited for my DC Girls Trip!  It's been way too long since we got together!
I promised them that I'd post a polyvore set of what I packed...but seeing as they are already packed and on their way...this is too late!
I figured I'd post it anyway because it reflects a new trend in my style...more simple, classic and laid back.  Ever since I did a major closet clean out I've gone back to basics...mainly jeans, t-shirts (and button downs) with fun statement jewelry (think fun chandelier earrings and stacked bracelets) to go along with my newly discovered "beachy waves".
  I'm hoping that we take some great pictures this weekend so you can have a better idea of what I'm talking about...as well as see how much we missed each other!

Currently loving these ikat Joe's jeans...may have to purchase these for summer. Also loving the chambray shirt.  I have one that I got last year and love how it can be dressed up with jewelry and accessories or dressed down with a baseball hat and lulu cropped pants (wore this last weekend and will post a pic).  Still obsessed with Stella & Dot jewelry...so many fun pieces and LOVING the layered look (a look I've been sporting a ton lately).  Happy Friday all! Back to school

So I'm excited to say that I'm taking a graphic design class starting this week! I'm super excited about it...My only hope is that i'll be able to stay awake for the whole thing (it's from 6pm-10pm) once a week.  I'm going to pack all the essentials: laptop, phone, water, pens, notebook, planner and phone.  I'll be coming from worky so gym clothes are where it's at!!!
