Boulder, CO Wedding

So one of my BF's is going to a late December wedding in Boulder, CO.  We've been trying to decide what she should wear and both have about the same idea in mind...black, semi-trendy, not too dressy (it is Boulder).

Here's my interpretation: Cashmere sweater dress (j. crew), fun fur vest, chunky gold jewelry, some sassy black booties...low key makeup and a killer bag!

Houndstooth

And before you get a head of yourself...this by NO MEANS makes me an Alabama fan.  (wanted to get that off my chest before I move forward, and if you have no idea what I'm talking about then disregard it!)

I found myself attracted to a few images that all had houndstooth in them...how could I have forgotten how chic it can be!  Whether in curtains, notecards, dog leashes, pillows or my favorite: scarves!!!!

For Some Reason

I've been thinking about sunglasses today...don't ask my why, it's not like it's 80 degrees and sunny every day here BUT today it was beautiful and got me to thinking about a great classic pair of shades.

Fall Investments

I'm choosing to call my purchases "investments" because they are all long-term items.  Things that won't go out of style and will carry me through different seasons.

These just seemed classic, a great go-to pair of earrings for when I'm tired of pearl studs.

Standard Work Outfit

LRT Work Outfit 

 Here's my standard work outfit. I work at a gym so I can get away with wearing workout clothes everyday! I try to spruce them up a little bit with cute cardigans and jewelry...but I do have to stick to a basic black outfit.

***Note: those earrings are a wish-list item, for now I'm rocking only CZ or pearls in my ears***

I'm having a scarf obsession...this New Hampshire weather is great for them! Score one for New England.  The orange one is Love Quotes (that cantaloup color is delicious)  and the green is from Anthropologie (I love the texture on that one)

Lindsay's Got A New Bag

So I am continually on the search for the perfect purse.  It needs to be not too big, not too small...just right.
Here's a bullet point of what I look for:
-Deep enough to fit a notebook
-At least one zippered pocket
-One large open pocket for phone
-Snap close capability (rather than zippered)
-Handles that can fit over my shoulder but aren't too long (no 80s purse for me)

Now, does that seem like to much to ask for? I think not....
