Halston Heritage...I die...

After seeing some Halston Heritage designs in the glossy mags, I decided to check out what was available on the Web for non-celebs like myself!

What I found was absolutely TDF...the dresses have a vintage vibe and are draped to perfection, I'm in love.  

The last gown is a fav, I can see myself wearing it with the following:

Love the snake bangle and think the oversize ring will be the perfect statement piece for the minimal dress!

Boulder, CO Wedding

So one of my BF's is going to a late December wedding in Boulder, CO.  We've been trying to decide what she should wear and both have about the same idea in mind...black, semi-trendy, not too dressy (it is Boulder).

Here's my interpretation: Cashmere sweater dress (j. crew), fun fur vest, chunky gold jewelry, some sassy black booties...low key makeup and a killer bag!

Weekend Accomplishments

1. Survived a 7-hour bus ride with the Dartmouth Football team.
    -Highlight: Watching "Stepbrothers" with both players and coaches cracking up
    -Lowlight: Lot's of farting, burping and smellyness coming from the back of the bus

2. Found jeans that are AMAZING.  Have you ever found a pair of jeans that when you put them on you feel like a movie star...I tried on some Paige jeans on a whim and fell in love.  They are so amazing that I bought them in two colors and am considering selling all my other jeans and getting more...yes, they're THAT good.  Skinny jean fit with a flare at the bottom...they look so cute with clogs :)

3. Addressed all of my Christmas cards...(thank you 7-hour bus ride).  I can't wait to post it up here so you can all check it out!

4. Found an item for my Christmas list: Chan Luu bracelet...now I just need to figure out what color I want. I'm leaning towards black with pearls, thoughts? Check out all color combos here: http://www.chanluu.com/

5. Finally indulged in one of these: Grey cableknit "snood" from J.Crew. It updates any outfit and gives you the perfect "scarf look"...you know, like you just threw it on and it automatically fluffed itself ...so chic

6. Drank too much wine because....

7.  WE CRUSHED PRINCETON!!!!!!   31-0

Right now I'm really into

J.Crew.  I was browsing their site earlier this evening and decided that I loved almost everything on there.  It may just be that I really like fall/winter clothes...the sweaters, cords and textures...but I think that J. Crew is just really nailing it right now.

Sometimes seeing all those cute clothes make me want to work in a place where I can get dressed up cute ever day instead of wearing black workout clothes...but then there are other days where I can barely wake up enough to pick out what to wear and am very excited that I can swear sweats and spandex.

 Santa, If you're reading this post, I'd like either of these bags...especially the "Gemini" (my sign) tote in black or gray under my tree this Christmas.  I'll be good I promise :)

 I am DYING over the cashmere "cocoon popover"...too bad it's $1200.  Note to J. Crew: why do you have such expensive stuff now...not cool.

Houndstooth

And before you get a head of yourself...this by NO MEANS makes me an Alabama fan.  (wanted to get that off my chest before I move forward, and if you have no idea what I'm talking about then disregard it!)

I found myself attracted to a few images that all had houndstooth in them...how could I have forgotten how chic it can be!  Whether in curtains, notecards, dog leashes, pillows or my favorite: scarves!!!!

weekend purchases

I hope that everyone had a GREAT weekend...I did! Dartmouth and Florida won AND I scored these great purchases :)

New fur vest (I've been looking for one FOREVER and finally found one I love!) It's a 525 America rabbit fur vest...the perfect size and fit to go over a cute long sleeve top or thin sweater...can't wait to wear it.

The second thing is a pair of J Brand Houlihan Skinny Cargo pants in an olive green...I put up two pics of them above...thoughts?!!

Football season is finally here in New England! The Ivy League begins play this weekend...hooray!

Here's a little outfit I put together in honor of my favorite sport and favorite time of year up here in New Hampshire.  Notice the clogs...I just got this same pair and am obsessed.

And, for the record, I know what you're thinking, "Lindsay, CLOGS?!! WTF", but I assure you, they are very chic and "in" this season.

I'm really into...

The first thing I'm really into right now is...College Football. Gameday is BACK and I'm totally excited!

Which leads me to...my new iPhone 4.  I have an app that allows me to check up on all college football-related news: can't beat that.

When I'm not watching football...I'll be reading this on my kindle.  Have any of you all read this..thoughts?

Fall is upon us, which means fall fashions.  I'm really into these Tory Burch clogs.  They speak to me, as does this watch.  The rose gold is a cool twist on the classic oversize watch.

Lastly, I'm not quite ready to give up my summer glow, so I've started using this:

I just wanted to pass along some of the great stuff Kirtie and I found at the Gap yesterday, yes that Gap, can you believe it!  The best part is that they were totally affordable and are going to bring us into the fall season perfectly!

so cute to wear with skinny jeans and a sweater if needed...I'm also thinking a stack of bangles on one hand.

I love a good boyfriend shirt...totally cool with skinny gold hoops and hair in a messy ponytail

cute (and fitted) military-inspired blazer...it's great because it has a little stretch to it.

Last, a great pair of black jeggings (jean leggings)...Kirtie tried them on and they looked fab and will look great with all of the above!
