On this day, we have a great tradition where we go around the table and everyone says what they're thankful for (takes a little bit because we have 40 members present)...so I thought I'd jump the gun and show some things that I'm thankful for:

Thank You Notes

I love thank you notes.  There's something so classic about writing a nice note and sending it through the mail.

I'm a firm believer that email thank you notes don't cut it.  Email is appropriate for most things, but I think it's important to show that you appreciate the trouble that someone went to to pick out a gift for you...no matter how big or small.

Here are some of my favorite "generic" (aka not personalized) thank-you notes:

I love typography and monograms

These monogram choices have me drooling! It was so hard to pick just one for our wedding invitations...isn't it fun just to look at.  The company is Dabney Lee and it is beyond adorable.  We chose to do both our wedding invitations and day-after brunch invites from this company...and they are both so fun and fresh!

10 Things Every Woman Must Own

According to InStyle, these are the 10 Things that Every Woman Must Own:

1. Black Blazer...I feel that navy would also be acceptable (I love navy...hence the bridesmaids dresses)
2. Leopard print scarf...I have one and haven't worn it in a long time...maybe I should bring it back out
3. Red flats: that one's not going to work for me...I hate red, I'll do pink or yellow instead
4. Striped shirt: nautical is so chic right now...I just got a cute one from J.Crew
5. Statement Necklace: couldn't agree with this more, although I could substitute a great chunky gold bracelet...sometimes that reallly does the trick
6. Little black dress. enough said.
7. Black opaque tights: do leggings work?
8. Oversize watch: highly agree...I love my Michele watch, and the changeable bands allow it to go with anything
9. Classic trench
10. Flared jeans

The only things I would add are:
1. Oversize sunglasses
2. Nude nail polish
3. Super thin gold hoop earrings

Thoughts...Suggestions? I'll add them to the list!

Some Tuesday Inspiration.

I am a total sucker for upholstered headboards...this fabric works like a neutral but has added interest with the hardware and subtle pattern...I love...

This room just caught my eye because it seems so effortlessly chic.  I love the fresh flowers and the mini side table adds interest to the room...The flowers and throw pillow add a fantastic punch of color...!

Happy Hump Day!

Wow, I can't believe it's only Wednesday...I feel like this week is going by sooo slow, but maybe that's because I just want the weekend to get here!  I get to see all of my besties this weekend and I cannot wait!

In anticipation of seeing them, I got a spray tan! I didn't want them to think that I was a pale Northerner now so I got myself a nice little glow...I have to say, I'm very impressed with it so far.  It looks natural (not like an oompah-loompah)

On another note, Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope that everyone has something green on...otherwise you may get pinched!

Love the headboard...I'm looking for fabric to make my own headboard like this. I also love the small bird prints on the wall, they draw the eye up towards the drapes!

I'm loving those pillows and the spot of blue with the lamps and on the chair!
