10 Things Every Woman Must Own
According to InStyle, these are the 10 Things that Every Woman Must Own:
1. Black Blazer...I feel that navy would also be acceptable (I love navy...hence the bridesmaids dresses)
2. Leopard print scarf...I have one and haven't worn it in a long time...maybe I should bring it back out
3. Red flats: that one's not going to work for me...I hate red, I'll do pink or yellow instead
4. Striped shirt: nautical is so chic right now...I just got a cute one from J.Crew
5. Statement Necklace: couldn't agree with this more, although I could substitute a great chunky gold bracelet...sometimes that reallly does the trick
6. Little black dress. enough said.
7. Black opaque tights: do leggings work?
8. Oversize watch: highly agree...I love my Michele watch, and the changeable bands allow it to go with anything
9. Classic trench
10. Flared jeans
The only things I would add are:
1. Oversize sunglasses
2. Nude nail polish
3. Super thin gold hoop earrings
Thoughts...Suggestions? I'll add them to the list!

exciting additions!
Here's a picture of the dresser that Matt made for me! I got the knobs from Anthropologie and the lamp and glass hurricane from TJ Maxx! The top middle drawer has a really cool section for jewelry...I'll post a pic of that soon!
Second new addition...the slipcovered chair! We ordered this chair, the ottoman and a new couch from (believe it or not...) JC Penny?! Who knew! We got a great deal and turns out that the quality/comfort/style is fabulous...we are actually ordering another slipcovered chair for in front of the fireplace off of the kitchen!
I'll post pictures of the couch once we get it...it's backordered until May 5.
xoxo

Well-deserved lazy Sunday...
Yesterday Matt and I ran our second half-marathon together...I know it doesn't sound romantic, but to me, it was! My favorite moment of the day was him circling back after he'd already finished (and registered his time) to run the last 200 yards with me (who does that!). I was beat but he talked to me and cheered me on to the end...second best part: the post-half chow-session at American Flatbread in Burlington- Yum!
Sometimes he is just so thoughtful I can't even stand it.
Here's a picture of where I would like to lay around all day...

I love the oversized headboard...oh, to be in bed all day....

Signature Outfit
Signature Outfit by Lteevens featuring Balenciaga bags
Have any of you ever gone onto Polyvore.com? It's the coolest Web site...you can design your own outfits etc. complete with accessories and props!
This outfit is definitely my go-to outfit. White t-shirt, skinny jeans, some kind of wrap/sweater/cardigan top, flats, shades, gold hoops (when I wear earrings they are usually these) and my iPhone! The bag is a dream item of mine and the dog is a stand-in for Lucy!

One of my favorite things...
Inspiration boards...(also known as bulletin boards) are one of my very favorite things! They help me put my thoughts down and also brighten up my workspace.
Here are some that caught my eye:

Kitchen Love
I was talking to a friend earlier who seems to be VERY concerned with my "lack of skill" in the kitchen. I mean, I can boil water and make a mean bowl of pasta, but I have no other "meals" in my repertoire. She and I have decided to make one meal a week together to build up my menu...she's a great cook and if I can even get close to her ability, I'll be totally pysched... (as will Matt.)!
Do you have any easy or go-to recipes? Let me know!
Also, check out this kitchen, it's divine...

I wish I were still in bed....
Don't all of these bedrooms look so inviting...what's your favorite? I love them all for different reasons, but if I had to pick one for my very own I'd choose a combination of the bamboo/bed frame and the monogram pillow bed...
